The company Garmin announced the first in its range of hybrid "smart" watches - vivomove HR. They combine the traditional dial for mechanical watches and the electronic touchscreen.
The developers argue that the simultaneous use of analog and digital technology extends the battery life of the gadget. In the normal chronometer mode, the clock works without recharging for up to two weeks, and with the active use of "smart" functions, the time goes down to five days.
The device received an OLED display measuring 19.2 x 9.6 mm with a resolution of 128 x 64 pixels, a Garmin Elevate heart rate sensor, an altimeter, an accelerometer and an ambient light sensor.
The gadget can calculate the heart rate, the number of steps, the number of steps taken and the amount of calories consumed, as well as the distance traveled and the duration of sleep. There is a function to determine the stress state.
The watch interacts with smartphones based on Android, iOS and Windows using Bluetooth wireless connection.
Garmin vivomove HR watches are available on sale at prices ranging from $ 200 to $ 300, depending on the case and straps.
