Apple will present a series of updates in its product line on September 12, including a new technology for high-performance photo format (HEIF). It allows you to reduce the size of photos while maintaining the quality.

The innovation will appear in the new version of the operating system iOS 11, writes Express. All photos taken by iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus after upgrading the device to iOS 11 will receive an extension. heif.

It is not yet clear what the consequences of this innovation will be, since there are as yet few ways to view these photos on other devices. Fans of iPhones will be able to feel special.

Because, for example, on Google Play you can find only one (!) Program that promises to convert the supernova format and enjoy the images that the lucky owner of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.
