Experts of the Chinese analytical company Sigmaintell Consulting calculated that in the first half of the year, shipments of smartphones with OLED displays in China fell by 13.8%. According to Sigmaintell, the reduction in the supply of models with OLED screens is due to the fact that some manufacturers, in particular, Oppo, preferred LCD panels with integrated touch screens.

In just six months, 37.4 million units were shipped, of which two leading manufacturers - Oppo and Vivo - account for 13.

8 million and 13 million, respectively, or 71% of the total.

According to Sigmaintell, the growth of the release of smartphones with OLED screens will resume already in the current half-year. Large producers try to reserve for themselves the necessary volumes of supplies of panels, since the demand for them exceeds the supply.

As you know, one of the main manufacturers of OLED panels, LG Display, believes that next year OLED panels will be in 58% of smartphones.
