Users who are tired of the interface of their smartphone, can turn to custom firmware. There is also a more cardinal option - to change the operating system. As it turned out, Sony Xperia X owners can make a variety in the user experience by installing Sailfish OS. Interestingly, for such a transition lovers of experiments will have to pay.

Recently, Sony allowed Jolla to optimize Sailfish OS for the Xperia X line, and the other day the developers announced that the build is already quite stable for the final release.

The OS can be installed starting on September 27, and it costs € 49.90 including taxes. Firmware is available only for Europe, but soon the team optimizes Sailfish OS for other regions.

It is known that while the owners of Xperia X may face some problems. The firmware does not work barometer, pacing, fingerprint reader and FM-radio, and Bluetooth is not stable. Note that the OS is only available for unlocked Xperia X with one SIM card, and for installation you need a computer with Linux.
