The Bitfinex currency exchange is going to charge a fee of $ 25 from users sending funds to incorrect addresses, for "saving" erroneous transactions.

The company, in order to optimize operations, reported on Twitter that it will charge a fixed fee in fiat for mistakes made by customers.

This step was taken in an attempt to draw the attention of an uncountable number of novice traders who registered on the exchange amid growing demand for crypto currency. Recently, the influx of "newcomers" on major exchanges has caused a decline in the level of customer support.

Earlier, Bitfinex stated that it really has shortcomings in customer support, and therefore over the past 2 months has increased its staff by 5 times.

The company stated:.

"The last six months have not been similar to all the previous ones that we have seen, as the Crypto currency has reached an unprecedented level of distribution".

"Over 5 years we processed 3 billion orders for Bitfinex, and over the past 4 months the number of orders exceeded 1 billion".

The company also noted an increase in the number of calls to the support service, half of which was received since April 2017.

Such a decision to charge a commission was the first in the exchange industry, and also caused a mixed response in society. For example, the famous trader and commentator WhalePanda suggested that with the introduction of such a collection, the quality of customer support will improve.
