How much are you willing to pay for a computer? In this case it is not a supercomputer for scientific computing, but the most common home PC. Swiss PC maker Prime Computer has released a special version of its mini-computer PrimeMini 3 worth 1 million dollars. It has an Intel Core i5-6260U processor, an integrated Intel Iris Graphics 540 graphics accelerator, 8 GB of DDR4 RAM, a Samsung EVO SSD drive of 250 GB, Wi-Fi 802. 11ac, Bluetooth and Windows 10 Home. Not bad characteristics for a compact form factor, but what does the company want a whole million for?.

Prime Computer uses a proprietary cooling technology without the use of fans, which is used throughout the company's products, but even this is not the reason for such a high cost of novelty.

The fact is that the manufacturer decided to release a special version of the computer PrimeMini 3 in a case of 18-carat gold.

For the production of each such computer, the company uses gold in the amount of $ 500,000. Total will be released ten gold PrimeMini 3. All of them were produced for customers from the United Arab Emirates and Russia. According to the CEO of Prime Computer, they are not ready to start mass production of such PCs, but intend to release an additional lot if there is a large demand.
