According to the decision on pre-trial settlement, Sony undertakes to compensate up to 50% of the cost of phones to their owners.
Under the action of this solution fall 24 models of smartphones - starting from Xperia Z1, released in 2013 and ending with Z5.
The essence of the class action against the company is that smart phones, which in theory are able to survive without contact with water, in fact, after such incidents, they demanded expensive repairs.
Data on how many owners can demand compensation from the company are not disclosed. Experts are at a loss to say what percentage of smartphones a smartphone is released under the pre-trial settlement decision.
