The Government made changes to the Plan for the Use of the Radio Frequency Resource of Ukraine with the aim of harmonizing the spectrum for fourth generation mobile communication systems in the 1800 MHz band.

The corresponding decision was made at a meeting of the Cabinet on August 18, reports BusinessCenter with reference to the press service of the government.

"The opening of the 1800 MHz band for the introduction of 4G radio technology will help to stimulate the development of the domestic telecommunications and digital economy, and will contribute to the improvement of Ukraine's investment climate," the message says..

It is planned that by the end of this year there will be a tender for the issuance of 4G-licenses. Expected revenue to the state budget will amount to 3.98 billion UAH.
