ESET experts conducted a study and found out which cyber threats are most often ignored by web users. Information about this appeared on the official blog.

Experts interviewed home users to find out what computer security rules they are violating. The most common "bad habit" was the lack of backup copies of data. The creation of backups is neglected by 59 percent of respondents.

The second popular mistake of users was the disabling of the automatic update of the operating system. This was admitted by 34 percent of the respondents. The third place in the ranking went to the habit of using the same password for different accounts - 29 percent of respondents.

11 percent of users told that they open attachments in received letters and messages and go over all links indiscriminately. And only 9 percent of survey participants add strangers to their friends in social networks.
