The command of the popular instant messenger WhatsApp works on maintaining statuses in the web version and desktop applications. This was told by the profile resource WABetaInfo.
When using a new version of the messenger on the smartphone, next to the user's picture in the web interface will appear a circular status icon that you can view by clicking on it.
When clicked, the user will be taken to a separate page where they can see friends from the list of contacts who shared their statuses. Statuses can be viewed, they can be answered. In the status you can add photos, videos and animated GIFs.
Let's remind, WhatsApp announced the statuses for all platforms in the beginning of 2017, they were already implemented for Android and iOS in February. For WhatsApp "status" is a text, picture or video that will automatically be deleted after 24 hours. In many respects it is similar to messages Snapchat and Stories in Instagram.
