Hong Kong's "daughter" Apple announced a temporary tightening of the rules for the return of orders in the local market. The new edition of the rules nullifies the right of consumers to return goods purchased in the official online store of the company after August 15, 2017. Thus, Apple hopes to stop the activities of speculators buying up equipment in large quantities and putting it into the store in case of unsuccessful implementation.

Practice, when enterprising Chinese handed over to the manufacturer unsold iPhone, has become widespread among speculators and has long been outside the PRC.

This, in turn, led to the unjustified enrichment of illegal entrepreneurs and significant financial losses of the company, forced to send large quantities of smartphones to the plant for the procedure of "recovery".

Last year, Apple also resorted to restrictive measures that were supposed to compensate companies for the costs incurred to it. In particular, from 15 to 25% of the retail price of the returned goods was with consumers, depending on the availability of the packaging film. Untouched smartphones were put on the shelves as new, and opened - went to China for more thorough inspection and repackaging.
