Hitachi will launch in China the IoT-service for integrated monitoring of buildings infrastructure

In fiscal year 2018, the Japanese conglomerate Hitachi intends to present in China its new IoT-service for integrated monitoring of buildings infrastructure. Cameras and sensors associated with the control system will provide supervision and control of escalators and elevators, electricity consumption, entrance and exit of personnel and visitors.

Information on the employment of escalators and elevators, the condition of air conditioning and other infrastructure of the building will be displayed on the operator's computer and will reduce electricity consumption, reports Nikkei..



Also Hitachi, controlled by approximately 10% of the Chinese market of escalators and elevators, expects that the project will increase sales of this equipment.

First of all, Hitachi's IoT-service is planned to be launched in major cities such as Shanghai and Guangzhou. CCTV cameras, card readers and other related equipment required for the operation of systems are supposed to be purchased from Chinese manufacturers.

According to the forecasts of Hitachi, the annual turnover of the new business will have to reach 30 billion yen (271 million US dollars) to 2021 fingodu.
