At the end of last month, Lenovo showed the unbreakable flagship Moto Z2 Force. The smartphone received an eight-core processor Snapdragon 835, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. A special feature of the device was a 5.5-inch ShatterShield Shatterproof Screen and a 7000 Series aluminum enclosure. Do protective technologies work in business? Blogger JerryRigEverything tested this in a series of tests and withdrew the testing process on video.

The secret of the drop-resistant screen is five layers: an aluminum substrate, an AMOLED matrix, a touchscreen, a lens and an outer shockproof layer. The latter is made of plastic, so the screen is scratched by a third level hardness tool, while most flagship smartphones are kept to the sixth level. The Home button with an integrated fingerprint scanner also collects scratches, but the sensor continues to operate normally.

In the fire test, the gadget lasted 10 seconds, after which the plastic layer began to melt, and the matrix left a white spot. The author of the video said that Motorola replaced the plastic design for glass for a fee in previous models, if the owner of the smartphone did not suit the disadvantages of a shatterproof screen.

The lens of the camera is made of glass, so it was impossible to scratch it with a knife. The back cover is made of metal and is amenable to damage, and on the frame of aluminum of the 7000 series there are no marks from the blade. Interestingly, the Moto Z2 Force buttons are also metal.

In the bendability test, Z2 Force demonstrated an excellent result - the tester failed to damage the device.

The front panel during the test for a couple of millimeters departed from the body, but immediately returned to the place.

As a result, JerryRigEverything recommended the smartphone and highly appreciated its reliability. Note that all the weaknesses of the Moto Z2 Force are fully compensated by the shock protection - the 4PDA version has already tested the ShatterShield technology, during which the representatives of Motorola even had to break the iPhone.
