In Kherson, at once several gullible women were victims of Internet fraud. The women transferred about 10,000 hryvnia to the cards of the perpetrators, trying to buy children's goods.
As reported by the Department of Communication of the Police of the Kherson region, more and more often Khersonians get on the hook of virtual scammers. Using ad sites, hackers sell non-existent goods. Trying to quickly buy baby carriages at favorable prices, moms transfer to scammers' accounts not only makings, but sometimes the whole amount.
Thus, a 25-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district applied to the duty department of the Genichesky police department. The woman reported that she was trying to purchase a stroller through the Internet, transferring to the bank card of the seller 2900 hryvnia. After withdrawing the cash, the seller stopped communicating with the deceived mother.
More cautious was 24-year-old herons, who also decided to purchase a stroller in one of the ads sites. Given the large amount of delivery, the seller agreed to send the goods after a small deposit - 500 hryvnia. The applicant transferred the money, but, as in the first case, the goods were not received. Police officers take measures to identify the perpetrators and detain them.
The police once again warns: to protect yourself from scammers, it is worth paying for purchases only after they are received and quality of goods.
