Sony announced the completion of the development of a digital system for storing and managing data on education based on the technology of blockade. Next year, the Japanese company plans to commercialize the product in partnership with a number of educational institutions.
Work on the project was started by Sony and Sony Global Education (SGE) 18 months ago. The idea is to use a block to create a journal for storing information about the education received - diplomas, degrees, testing, and so on..
The functionality of the developed system allows you to record information making difficult falsification in a way, as well as to control access to recorded information, which makes it possible without fear to disclose the stored data to authorized third parties.
The system is managed by Sony Global Education and built on the basis of IBM Blockchain using IBM Cloud and Linux Foundation Hyperledger Fabric 1.
Sony believes that this platform can be used in other areas of digital assets management, including the Internet of things, logistics, digital content, real estate and (more obviously) crypto currency.
