The manufacturer of luxury phones, Vertu, has relatively recently closed production facilities in the UK. The Vertu museum also closed, where 105 mobile phones of the company were produced, which were produced in the period from 2002 to 2015. All of them went to the auction.
Apparently, the device wants to sell the entire collection at once.
The starting price for the lot is $ 26,000. Some of the phones are made using 18-karat gold, titanium or stainless steel, some are encrusted with diamonds. In the heyday of the company, individual "tubes" could sell for $ 30,000.
In March of this year, Chinese owners Vertu resold all business of luxury phones to Turkish Hakan Yuzan for $ 61 million. But this did not save the company from bankruptcy: out of 128 million pounds of debts, Yuzan will be able to pay only 1.9 million ($ 2.4 million).
