Android operating system is constantly changing and getting better. But what never changes is the recovery menu, or the so-called "recovery" mode. By himself, he reminds us that smartphones are still made for technically savvy people. The rest do not even understand the navigation keys in this mode. But soon it will change.

For our regular readers, it's no secret that navigation through the recovery menu is carried out using physical buttons on the device, despite the fact that we are talking about smartphones with a touch screen.

Android has existed for a long time, and the system has changed a lot during its existence, but not navigation in the restore menu. Fortunately, the time has come.

In the changes that Google recently made to the AOSP (Android Open Source Project), you can notice the mention of touch input support for the recovery menu. In other words, to navigate the menu, you can finally just click on the items. We do not know if Google is planning to add more large-scale innovations to the recovery menu, but this alone is not bad.
