The leading crypt exchange in Germany handed police data on customers

Bitcoin, the largest bitcoin-exchange in Germany. De provided law enforcement officers with confidential data about users without a court decision, although by law is not obliged to do so. As reported by the German edition of Vice, it is about at least eight cases of data transmission in January of this year.

Users whose information was in the hands of the police were suspected of using bitcoins to buy drugs on the already discontinued existence of the Chemical Love trading platform.



In total, the administration of the exchange handed over to law enforcers information related to eight bokkoyn-addresses, which included the real names and aliases of the Exchange customers, data on the place of residence, e-mail addresses and IP-addresses, phone numbers, bank information, information on the total amount of orders and Conducted transactions.

Confirm the connection of suspects with the resource Chemical Love failed, but they, nevertheless, were of interest to law enforcement agencies. As noted, the management of the exchange at first refused to provide the required information without a proper court warrant, but under police pressure changed the decision.
