According to him, the creators of the smartphone knew that this feature would be extremely in demand among consumers, and therefore initially designed it with the need to introduce special waterproofing gaskets.

Very interesting is the reason why the manufacturer chose not to declare protection from moisture in the characteristics of the smartphone. As the employee noted, the development of OnePlus 5 was given very little time, and its creators simply did not have time to properly test the integrity of the device when immersed in water. In this connection, he noted, moisture protection will be a kind of easter eggs for every buyer of OnePlus 5.

Nevertheless, stressed the top manager, it is not necessary to expose OnePlus 5 to water procedures, checking its resistance to the elements. The official position of the manufacturer on this account remains unchanged: water ingress into the housing, entailing the release of their system of individual components of the smartphone, is not a guarantee case. Thus, it is important to remember that any contact of the device with moisture can lead to unforeseen consequences.
