After the attack of the Petya-A virus, only 10% of enterprises (both public and private) used security measures to avoid defeat the next time In Ukraine, on Independence Day, August 24, cyber attack is expected. This was said by the head of the department of cyberpolicy Sergei Demedyuk in an interview with the publication "Glavkom".

In response to a question about when the next cyber attack in Ukraine is possible, he said: "We warn that this will be on August 24, on Independence Day. We see that such attacks occur on the eve or on the day of some great holidays for Ukraine ".

According to him, in the harmful software M. Doc had many elements that have not been activated before this time.

"We do not yet know fully what properties a virus has. We have only about 1,300. Official statements, where criminal proceedings were initiated. We must consider: if criminals destroyed such an important channel for obtaining information, they left reserves. Very powerful reserves, "- explained the head of the department of cyberpolicy.

He stressed that even after the last cyberattack, only 10% of enterprises, both public and private, reacted. All others have not taken any security measures.



Cyberpolicy found that at the moment in the amendments to the code of the virus found instructions in Russian, it makes it possible to assume that hackers Russian-speaking.

"I spoke only about Russian-speaking people, I did not speak about the Russian Federation. The main version is the interference of the Russian special services, but I do not yet affirm this, "Dememedyk noted..

He noted that in Ukraine there are a lot of professional specialists in network administration, but there are no specialists in cyber defense and cyber threats at all.
