75% of consumers are interested in getting even the most minor updates for their smartphones. This became known by the results of a survey conducted among readers of the SamMobile resource. In software updates respondents, according to them, first of all see the expansion of the functionality of their devices, almost without thinking about their security or speed.
Some of the participants in the experiment even admitted that they were forced to abandon devices running Android in favor of the iPhone solely because of the frequency of updates.
According to the respondents, they were tired of waiting for the manufacturer of their smartphone to take up the adaptation of the update, which the gadget owners from Google became available a few months ago.
20% of the respondents, in turn, said they would prefer to receive only major updates that bring interface changes and other significant innovations to the system. Unquestionable value for them in this case are monthly security updates. The remaining 5% noted that they do not have a passion for updates. The main thing for them is the stable operation of the smartphone running the existing version of the OS.
