Google announced the launch of so-called SOS alerts (SOS Alerts) and Search and Maps, which will report emergency situations during natural or man-made disasters.

The initiative, designed to help users cope with unforeseen circumstances, will also provide fresh news, information from local authorities, hotlines and sites and other useful information.

Users near to emergency zones will receive notifications on mobile devices. Google promises to provide information in real time, for this the company cooperates with various organizations, including the Red Cross and the Federal Agency for Emergency Management.
