Officers of the Myronivka police in the Kiev region installed and detained one of the defendants of an organized group of scammers who on the Internet site sold non-existent cycling and agricultural equipment at a price many times less than the market.

After gullible people from different regions of Ukraine transferred an advance payment for the goods, business dealers "buried their ends in water": they threw out SIM cards from their mobile phones and did not go online. Now their involvement in the commission of 16 crimes is proved, reports Chas Peak with reference to the press service of Kiev Operative.

So, for example, scammers offered a man to buy a tractor that costs more than 100 000 hryvnia, for only 70 000. The buyer applied to the police after having transferred 9,000 prepayments, and the sellers disappeared.

Also, this group of people is suspected of illegal possession of anesthesia. During the authorized search at the place of residence of the detainee, the police seized cannabis, a large number of bank cards that received money and 21 SIM-cards with various numbers of mobile phones.

Now the police are installing other members of the criminal group. Criminal proceedings were opened on h. 2 items. 190 (fraud) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Pre-trial investigation continues.
