Functions that iOS and Android are still not adopted each other

Gradually, iOS and Android are becoming more like each other. If earlier it was two completely different systems, today we are talking about almost completely similar experiences. However, both systems still have a number of features that have not yet been adopted from each other.

Standard Android apps.

In Android, you can choose to replace the stock applications with third-party. It can be about the browser, phone, messages, mail. For example, if a user installs a third-party browser, when clicking on a link, the system prompts you to choose between the two installed browsers-the stock and third-party browsers. The user can save the current selection.

Why has not Apple come up with this?.

Spotlight (iOS).

Search Spotlight is able to search information on the Internet, in contacts, is able to analyze locations, system files and so on. At the same time, it should be noted here that Google is still working hard in this direction, but, of course, universal search would not prevent.

Launchers (Android).

Android users can install various launchers from Google Play. In iOS this is not and, most likely, will never be.

Continuity (iOS).

With this function, you can copy text information to iOS and insert it already in MacOS. This Android owners would not hurt.

Smart unlock (Android).

Android-smartphone is able to understand whether a person uses the device at a given time. At the first unlock, the smartphone will begin to analyze the position in space. And if the user will hold the device in his hands, the smartphone will not require a password when it is unlocked again.

In this case, if in the future the owner of the smartphone puts it on the table, it is again locked with a password. This function is not so necessary for iPhone fans, as now almost everyone uses a fingerprint scanner.

IMessage (iOS).

This messaging service is convenient for its synchronization. All messages can be viewed on all Apple devices. Google released Allo, but the application is currently only available for mobile devices, does not support sending via SMS and does not have "end-to-end encryption".
