Announcement of the sale of the whole railway line appeared on the auction site.

On the website of the electronic auction eBay appeared a rather unusual announcement about the sale of eleven kilometer railway line. In this case, the buyer is put in a condition that the rails remain in place, and the rail track will by no means turn into a bicycle path.

As SputnikGermany reports, there have been many offers from potential buyers, and the seller is currently negotiating.

The reason for the appearance of such an unusual lot is that the German Werra-Fulda-Bahn Support Fund, which is in charge of the branch, is no longer able to serve it.

"There are too few people and they are elderly," said the chairman of the foundation Jurgen Baumgardt.

However, the foundation wants the line to be preserved without fail: it is considered part of the history of Germany and, moreover, an important connecting line for the cut-off settlements.
