The pre-release versions of Android O showed us the intention of Google to completely change the image of emoji in its mobile operating system. The company decided to abandon the "blots", which affectionately nicknamed "blobs". They were very different from emoji in other operating systems and were a hallmark of Google products, but many did not like it. As a result, Google decided to abandon them, and recently the company made it clear how difficult this decision was.

In honor of the world day emoji Google published a blog post on "klyaksam". The company literally arranged a tearful farewell, appealing to the nostalgic feelings of Android users.

On the page Google published animated emoji of the old sample and texts of famous compositions by such performers as Taylor Swift, Rod Stewart, Adele and others.

Many words in songs have been replaced by derivatives of the word "blob". The songs were chosen to be sad. They signify farewell to the old emoji. Obviously, Google will miss them.

Of course, the company can not take from us something so significant, so "blots" will be available in a set of stickers for Google Allo. Download it and say goodbye to "blots" along with Google for sad songs.
