Google introduced a data center in London that will provide cloud computing services to third-party organizations in the region. This is the second largest data center in Europe in Europe, second only to the data center in Brussels.

According to the consulting company Gartner, Google is on the third place in the ranking of the largest providers of cloud computing services, behind only Amazon and Microsoft.

Until recently, the search giant was focused on opening data centers for its cloud computing platform in the US and Asia, where it has facilities in Singapore and Taiwan. But, announcing data centers in London, Google also disclosed plans to launch data centers in Finland, the Netherlands and Germany.

Google Product Manager Dave Stiver (Dave Stiver) said that in connection with the commissioning of a new data center, customers of the GCP (Google Cloud Platform) in the British Isles and in Western Europe will notice a significant reduction in the delay in data transmission.

Charging fees for the time servers are used instead of a fixed rate, Google aims to provide IT structures with a cheaper alternative to their own data centers. Her clients include Telegraph newspaper, Coca-Cola company, Khan Academy online learning service.
