Many users of computers, laptops and tablets using the Windows 10 operating system use the Microsoft account. In the near future, they will be able to reset the forgotten password directly on the device lock screen. This function is currently being tested in the 16237 pre-assembly, its appearance is expected in the autumn as part of the update of Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.

If the password from the Microsoft account is lost, now it needs to switch to another device to restore access.

If he has only one computer, this can be a problem. In the assembly released last week, a new option appeared on the lock screen called "I forgot the password". By clicking on it, you can reset the password from the account, as it is done on the Microsoft website.

Also on the lock screen of Windows 10, you can reset the pin code. To do this, enter the Microsoft password and confirm that you are the owner of this device. Previously, you could change the pin code only in the Settings application.
