The upcoming release of motherboards for new Intel and AMD chips, as well as the high demand for gaming video cards and equipment for crypto currency management inspire optimism in Taiwan's suppliers of computer integrated circuits (ICs). Many chip makers expect that the seasonal recovery in the market, which begins in July, will allow them to register double-digit revenue growth in the third quarter of 2017 compared to the previous quarter.

Among the vendors that are expected to rise, market experts name chips manufacturers Realtek Semiconductor, Anpec Electronics, Amazing Microelectronic, Global Media Technology (GMT), ITE Tech, On-Bright Electronics and Weltrend Semiconductor, reports DigiTimes.

Information from companies indicates that their customers have become more active in placing orders for the supply of components for desktop and laptop PCs.

In addition, there has been an increase in demand for other types of computer parts, such as USB Type-C connectors, fingerprint sensors, fan control and power management chips, which plays into the hands of the Anpec and Weltrend companies specializing in their release.

Also, the sources added that a new modification of PC processors would require a larger number of field effect transistors (MOSFETs). This will favorably affect the suppliers of these components - Advanced Power Electronics (APEC), Niko Semiconductor and Sinopower Semiconductor.
