At the moment, the NFC chip is used in the iPhone only to make payments through Apple Pay. But this technology has many opportunities that can be open to third-party developers.

Wait, when Apple will open full access to NFC, not necessarily. An unofficial application from Cydia allows you to use technology to emulate a pass or key card.

To do this, you need an iPhone with NFC support (iPhone 6 and newer models) with jailbreak and NFCWriter installed.

Thanks to this application, NFC on the iPhone can be used on any Android-powered phone. Including turning a mobile device into a digital key for doors and turnstiles.

Step 1. Scan an existing key card with NFC using NFCWriter.

Step 2. Record the serial number of the card.

Step 3. Enter the serial number of the card in the "Tag Emulation" tab.

Step 4. Click "Start Tag Emulation".

Done! Now you can use your iPhone as a key card to enter the building or pass through the turnstile.
