The company, which is part of the Alphabet holding company, will first receive wind energy from Norway in early September.

Tellenes wind turbine station with a total capacity of 160 MW, the construction of which will soon be completed, will be Norway's largest wind farm and the largest energy supplier for Google in Europe.

"We will start buying electricity as soon as the wind power station is at full capacity. As expected, this will happen in early September 2017, "- told the representative of Google news agency.

Last year, Google signed a 12-year contract for the purchase of 100% of the energy generated by the Tellenes wind farm. The company said that wind power will provide one or more of its data centers in Europe. Google has four data centers in Europe - in Finland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Ireland.

A spokesman for Zephyr project developer Olav Rommetveit said the first turbine will start generating power next week, but the supply of energy for Google will begin later.

"Delivery for Google will not start immediately. She has an exclusive contract for 12 years, and she will begin to receive electricity at some point after the start of commercial operations, "explained Rommetveit. He added that electricity produced until the station is fully operational will be sold on the electricity exchange Nord Pool.
