The British chip maker, Imagination Technologies, continues to suffer a disaster following Apple's refusal to use the corporation's graphics technologies. Although the management of IT is confident that in Cupertino will continue to pay contributions to the manufacturer, the company is already partially sold for sale.
According to MacRumors, last fiscal year Imagination Technologies returned to profit after a long break, but so far it does not help the company stay afloat. IT has already put up for sale its units MIPS and Ensigma: experts say that soon the whole company can be put up for sale too.
Recall a few months ago, Apple issued a statement on the rejection of the GPU Imagination Technologies and its technologies, referring to the development of its own chip.
IT does not believe that the engineers of the "apple" company could create their product without using Imagination Technologies, so they hope to continue paying royalties (which in recent years reached 80 million dollars).
Apple - the key IT consumer, the corporation brings the manufacturer almost half of the total revenue. After Apple's announcement, Imagination Technologies shares collapsed several times, and the company itself was threatened with bankruptcy.
