Recent years, Apple adheres to the established naming scheme for new iPhone. For odd years, flagship smartphones are called with a digit and the letter S after the number. Apple has no reason to abandon the established tradition. Nevertheless, network sources persistently call the novelty "iPhone 8".
Perhaps this is due to the fact that in January the main smartphone on the planet turned 10 years old - because of this, Apple seems to be unreasonable to present the "ordinary" iPhone 7s.
As you know, Apple plans to introduce three models. Two of them will be usual - iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. About them so far little is known, but the design is unlikely to change much in comparison with the iPhone 7 - again, such are the traditions. Perhaps there will be a glass case - the requirement of time.
Together with iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus Tim Cook will present one more iPhone - the same, anniversary and premium. It will have a frameless screen, wireless charging, a built-in fingerprint scanner and an advanced camera. You can say with absolute certainty: this device will not be called iPhone 8, because 7s and 8 on one stage - it sounds at least strange. This can admit anyone, but not Apple - this company has always followed the logic and hierarchy.
As Life notes, versions about the real name of the premium iPhone are now three. The first is "iPhone Pro", like the iPad, Mac, iMac and MacBook. So Apple will emphasize the premium product.
The second guess is "iPhone Edition", like Apple Watch and iPhone SE. So you can explain to buyers that this is an exclusive, anniversary product.
And the third option is very simple and suitable for Apple in style. The new jubilee smartphone will be called iPhone. Just iPhone without any letters and numbers. The same iPhone as 10 years ago. However, then the people renamed it iPhone 2g, but the model of 2017 does not threaten it.
It will remain a classic iPhone - the only and unique.
