One of the most anticipated features of the new iPhone 8 - support for wireless charging. According to sources in Asia, this feature will not be exclusive for Apple's anniversary flagship.

Wireless charging is a good way to get rid of uncomfortable, constantly tearing wires. This method is practiced by some manufacturers of smartphones running Android. Apple has not paid attention to this feature for a long time, but now everything can change.

At a recent shareholders meeting, Catcher Technology announced revenue growth through the production of metal alloys for smartphones of medium and high class. It is reported that the company received a large order for "the manufacture of aluminum chassis and glass panels". About what the manufacturer is talking about, it is not specified. Sources say that such volumes of orders may be required only for the new iPhone.

The head of Catcher did not comment on these rumors. At the same time, he noted that the production of glass and aluminum casings is a laborious and expensive process. To this end, Catcher Technology built a new plant in the south of Taiwan and expanded production capacity at two enterprises in East China.

According to analysts, the iPhone of the sample of 2017 will receive cases of tempered glass with a metal frame and refuse LCD panels in favor of brighter and energy-efficient screens based on OLED technology, which Samsung has long used in its flagships. Key supplier of OLED-panels for iPhone is expected to be Korean Samsung.

Earlier it was reported that Catcher Technology will supply cases for smartphones iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. For this reason, market observers have suggested that the devices will receive an all-metal case that is incompatible with wireless charging. However, judging by the new information, iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus will be clad in a glass case and can be charged wirelessly.

At this time, it is not known whether the iPhone 8 will have an aluminum chassis, as some sources report that the smartphone frame can be made of stainless steel.
