It so happened that the iPhone and iPad did not allow users to learn detailed information about the state of memory. Only with the latest iOS updates in the settings it became possible to see which applications take up space on the device, but many did not understand why only 16% of the 16 GB of the owner's only 70%.

Users of iOS 11 may have already noticed that Apple decided to fix the situation.

Now you can go to the Settings -> General -> iPhone Storage menu and see at the very bottom of the list how many gigabytes the operating system and the files needed for work.

Delete the system files still will not work, but at least now the owners of the iPhone and iPad will understand why they do not have access to all the memory on the device.

Apple is gradually giving users more control over the storage device. Earlier we wrote that iOS 11 can automatically remove unused applications and give recommendations on working with memory.
