Google began distributing the next update for its Google Allo messenger. The update will make it possible to make voice and video calls directly from Allo through video chat Duo. This was reported by Amit Fulay (Amit Fulay), head of the division dealing with Google Allo and Duo, as well as WebRTC.

In order to make a call in the Google Allo messenger, you need to touch Duo in the upper right corner of the chat. Also in the version for iOS there was an opportunity to create backup copies of chats.

Recall, the messenger Allo became available in September 2016. This is not a replacement for Hangouts, but a stand-alone application, more like Facebook Messenger. Google Allo uses machine learning and the new Google Assistant voice assistant. Accordingly, this is a smart messenger, learning over time and allowing you to quickly respond to messages with just one tap on the screen.

The Google Allo app for iOS and Android is available for free download on the App Store and Google Play.
