In the past, when buying a new laptop or computer, users had to spend a lot of time transferring all data from the old device to a new one. With the advent of cloud services, such a "move" is no longer something complicated. Specializing in cloud solutions, Google has decided to make the life of users even easier. The company already has a Disk for Personal Computers application that allows you to access your cloud storage. Soon it will change dramatically and will be called Backup and Sync.

The name Backup and Sync fully describes the features and functions of this service.

It will also be integrated with the Google Photos uploader. In this way, users will be able to back up all files and photos from their computers so that they are available on any other device. After updating the Disk to Backup and Sync, all user settings will be saved, which you can change at will.

Google plans to release Backup and Sync for Windows and macOS later this month - June 28. It will replace two current applications: Google Drive and Google Photos Backup.
