Already more than one note on our site was devoted to the crypto currency boom, which continues to rage, causing a significant shortage of available video cards - mainly, various models of AMD Radeon. Not everyone is happy about this boom, and it's not just about amateurs of games that can not buy a video card or are forced to spend more than planned because of a price increase caused by a deficit. Dissatisfied with the manufacturers who traditionally use graphics processors of only one brand, such as Sapphire, a long-time partner of the "red": because of the difficult situation in the market, consumers can move to the camp of "green". But the motherboard manufacturers managed to saddle the wave.

We talked about the unique ASRock H110 Pro BTC + motherboard with 13 PCI Express slots. But ASRock is not the only company that realized what benefits can be derived from the popularity of the new generation of crypto currency. More recently, another company, Biostar, announced the release of its model, designed specifically for building crypto-currency "farms". The TB250-BTC Pro supports installation of up to 12 graphics cards with the appropriate adapters and costs only $ 125. Buy it, however, is not so simple: orders are already painted until the end of September, and this despite the fact that the Biostar production lines will soon be transferred to a 24-hour operation in order to meet the schedule of supply and meet the existing demand.

Biostar expects a significant increase in revenues: already in the first quarter, the share of "crypto-exchange cards" accounted for about 10% of shipments, and by the current moment this figure has already reached 20-30%.

Despite the fact that the ASRock solution allows to install more on one video card, in terms of technology, the company lags behind Biostar for about 2-3 months, since it started mass production of the corresponding cards earlier. Optimistic looks into the future and the company Colorful, which also plans to enter this market with its solutions. The production of Colorful motherboards will be contracted by Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS). The statistics of the "miners" are curious: approximately 80% of them are located in the Asia-Pacific region, of which 70% are in China, and the remaining 30% are in South Korea and other countries in the region.
