A keyboard for one-handed operation is not a new feature. As one of the developers found out, Apple added it back in 2014 to iOS 8, but until now the function remained hidden, and users did not have access to it.

The operating system iOS 8 debuted with the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus - the first smartphone Apple with a diagonal screen of 5.5 inches. Such a keyboard would be useful even then, but the company decided to add it to the devices after three years.
