Apple June 5 at the conference WWDC 17 announced a new version of the operating system iOS 11. Registered developers on the same day got access to the first beta versions of firmware for mobile devices, and the participants of public testing will be able to try the novelty before the end of the month. The final release of iOS 11 is scheduled for autumn.

Not all new features of iOS 11 were told at the presentation. Some of them were briefly shown on slides, and some users found out already during the testing of iOS 11 Beta 1 on their devices.

Drag and drop to iPhone.

In the final version of iOS 11 drag-and-drop will be available on the iPhone. You can transfer text, photos and files from one application to another - one at a time or select several. In the first beta version of iOS 11 for developers, the function works only in some applications, for example, you can drag an image from iMessage into notes.

Transfer password from Wi-Fi to other devices.

IOS 11 has the ability to share passwords from Wi-Fi. The technology works by the principle of creating a pair with AirPods. On the nearby iPhone and iPad, you will see a message about an attempt to connect to a nearby Wi-Fi connection device.

By pressing the button "Send password", the password input field from the Wi-Fi point will be filled automatically and the device will be connected to the network.

Limiting continuous geolocation tracking to individual applications.

The final version of iOS 11 will prevent programs from continuously monitoring the location of the device. In the system settings, you can specify that, for example, Uber or "Yandex. Taxi »got access to geolocation only while using these services.
