IOS 11 can automatically remove unused applications

The operating system iOS 11 contains many improvements and new features. Some of them were described in detail during the presentation on Monday, others became known from the first beta version for developers.

So, in the settings of iOS 11 in the settings menu, an updated section of managing the internal memory. Users can evaluate a new feature that automatically removes applications that have not been used for some time.

To do this, go to Settings> iTunes Store and App Store. At the bottom of the section there is a switch "Download unused software". Once activated, iOS 11 will remove rarely used applications to free up memory for storing photos, videos, documents, and so on..

IOS 11 uses the Siri capabilities to determine how often the user runs a program. In the function description, the settings indicate that all documents and data related to remote applications will be stored on the device.

When reinstalled, they will be transferred again to the application.

"Reinstalling the program, provided that it is still available in the App Store, will return all your data," says the function description.

By default, the function "Unload unused software" is disabled. Most likely, this is done not to surprise users with the sudden disappearance of applications.

Recall that iOS 11 is compatible only with 64-bit devices. The final release of the update will take place this fall.
