On Monday at WWDC, Apple introduced a number of new products in San Jose, including a smart HomePod music column with built-in Siri, which can communicate with the user, send messages, wake up in the morning and report the weather.

The device includes seven high-frequency speakers, a subwoofer and a computing processor, like in the iPhone. According to journalists, in the demonstration zone Apple sounded five test music tracks of different genres, and the sound was "very good". HomePod determines its location in the room and adjusts the sound to the surrounding conditions.

"The sound was not just loud - filling the room with a good or bad sound is easy - it was saturated. Clear working top, deep low frequencies - sonorous, but without hum. Classical tracks with less complex sound series sounded warm and natural, and one of the hard bits of Kendrick Lamar confirmed a solid reserve at low frequencies ... Of course, I did not feel that I was at a live concert, nevertheless I'm impressed with the sound quality, "writes Mashable.

Comparison of HomePod with competitors in the person of Sonos Play: 3 and Amazon Echo showed that Apple's music column on the head is higher in sound quality. In the demo zone, five songs were played: "The Greatest" by Sia, Nora Jones' "Sunrise", Stevie Wonder's "Superstition," Kendrick Lamar's DNA and The Eagles Hotel California.

"According to my impressions, HomePod sounds more saturated than Sonos Play: 3 and much better than Amazon Echo," wrote a CNET journalist who listened to all five tracks. - In a quiet place the music sounds more vivid and clear than the speakers Sonos and Amazon ».

Engadget called HomePod sound "incredible" after comparing the column with competitors in the showroom. "She broke both", he noted..

"The sound of HomePod is much cleaner and better, regardless of the music genre - the device plays equally well as The Eagles, and Kendra Lamara. Let me remind you that the column contains a huge subwoofer and seven tweeters that provide rich and rich sound anywhere in the room ".

HomePod sales start in December 2017 in the US, UK and Canada. The rest of the world will see the novelty only in 2018. For the novelty Apple asks $ 349. For comparison: Google Home costs $ 109, and Amazon Echo - $ 179.
