A few years ago, Microsoft launched the Garage project, allowing employees in their free time to develop their own applications. From under the wing of this initiative came a huge number of programs for iOS and Android. Recently, a group of engineers from the Redmond Corporation developed the mobile application Face Swap, which allows you to try on the image of a model, a popular actor or a character in the film. To do this, proprietary face recognition technology developed by Microsoft Research specialists is used, and image search in Bing.
After launching Face Swap, you just need to do selfie.
In this case, the application will tell you how best to build a frame. Then the program will automatically find the person, after which it can be inserted into any other image found through the built-in search. Unlike most analogues, Face Swap adjusts skin tone, lighting conditions, rotation and tilt of the head. Developers plan to continue to regularly update the selection of recommended photos for changing faces.
Face Swap is already available for Android and will soon appear on iOS.
