Games and entertainment are still the highest grossing categories of the App Store. At the same time, "Lifestyle" and "Health and fitness" over the past year showed an increase of more than 70%, and the fastest growing category is "Photo and video" with almost 90% annual growth.

The company also noted that since subscriptions are now open to developers in all 25 categories of applications, the profit from active paid subscriptions for the year increased by 58%. Leaders in this area are Netflix, Hulu, Tastemade, Over and Enlight.
