Adobe has introduced a new mobile application Adobe Scan. It turns a smartphone or tablet into a portable scanner. It's enough just to run the program and point the camera at the document to create its digital copy with the possibility of editing. Adobe Scan will be especially useful for students who often need to scan lectures and assignments, as well as for people working with documents. Using Adobe Scan, you can save handwritten notes, printed documents, business cards, photos, pages of books and magazines, announcements, slides from presentations, and much more to PDF.

All scanned images are automatically synchronized via Adobe Document Cloud and are available on any device, be it a smartphone, tablet or personal computer. For many, it will be useful to recognize and edit text on scanned documents.

Acrobat DC subscribers also have access to a number of additional functions for editing and organizing documents, collecting signatures and.

Adobe Scan is based on the Adobe Sensei machine learning system, which allows the application to automatically determine the boundaries of the document and improve the quality of the scanned content. It clears the image, aligns the perspective, deletes the shadows, and then uses image recognition to detect and convert printed text.

Adobe Scan is available for free for iOS and Android.
