Microsoft accidentally published a new build of Windows 10 for PCs and mobile devices. As it turned out, updates disable smartphones and tablets, initiating an endless loop of reboots.

Assembly 16212 was not intended for release, but was mistakenly sent to insiders and even to some users not participating in Windows Insider. The only way to restart the mobile device with the installed assembly 16212 is to reset the settings using the Windows Device Recovery Tool, but in this case all the files stored on the device will be lost.

After resetting the owner of the problem device will have to re-register in Windows Insider.

It should be borne in mind that the OS builds provided by Windows Insider are not intended for installation on work devices, since they may contain errors.

Windows Insider - Beta test of Windows 10 assemblies before their public release, announced by Microsoft in 2014. In 2015, it had more than 7 million participants.

Windows Device Recovery Tool - a tool from Microsoft, designed to restore the firmware and rollback to previous versions of Windows Phone. The program works with devices that use Windows Phone 8. 0/8. 1 and Windows 10 from HTC, LG and Lumia devices.
