In the section with personal messages on Twitter, the "Requests" tab appeared. It allows you to filter incoming messages and protects users from offensive and unsolicited messages.

"If your direct messages are open, and someone is writing to whom you are not subscribed, the message will appear in the requests," the company wrote. - Through the requests you can accept or delete the message. If you accept the message, it will appear in the incoming message ".

If you delete a message, in the future the sender will still be able to write to you. To permanently get rid of the user's messages, he will have to block. If in the past you wrote a specific user, then new messages from him will appear immediately in the incoming - even if you are already not subscribed to it.

If you are a stranger, then the attached files are also hidden from him.

But pictures and videos can be viewed without taking a message: you need to click on the button "View media file".

The innovation extends to group correspondence. If you read the message from an unwanted sender, then he does not know about it until you click the "Accept" button.

Due to the features of the Twitter application programming interface, a new feature is available only in official clients for iOS and Android. In the next few months, it will appear in the web version of the service.
