MIUI 8 was announced more than a year ago and now the developers of Xiaomi are working on a new version of the proprietary shell MIUI 9. Earlier it was assumed that its release would take place in June and the device that was the first to receive it was to be Xiaomi Mi Note 3. But this prediction, apparently, does not come true. It is highly likely that anonymous sources speak in favor of MIUI 9 announcement in July this year, but what smartphone will be honored to be its first owner is not reported.

According to several Chinese publications, the beta version of MIUI 9 will be released in July, but the final assembly will arrive in August. It is expected that a new shell based on Android 7. 0 Nougat and in addition to the screen split mode, which has already been implemented in MIUI 8.
