According to the French tax department, Apple, resorting to various legal tricks, concealed large amounts that are subject to tax payments from 2012 to 2014.

Based on the audit results, the tax authorities presented to the French division of Apple an act on additional taxation. The exact amount of funds to be paid is not disclosed, but the division of the "apple" giant has already reserved € 12.2 million.

According to the television channel, the act on additional taxes is presented to one of two divisions of Apple in France: Apple Retail France EURL.

Having resorted to various legal tricks, the company concealed large amounts subject to tax payments. According to the submitted declaration for the fiscal year ended in September 2016, Apple Retail France EURL revenue was € 623 million, losses - € 9.4 million, and total revenue together with Apple's other division Apple France SARL - amounted to € 700 million.

Representatives of Apple did not comment on the claims of the French authorities, saying that Apple, as the "largest taxpayer in the world", pays taxes "to the fullest wherever it is".

Last year, the European Commission demanded that Apple pay Ireland more than € 13 billion as "compensation for illegally obtained tax benefits". IPhone maker appealed this claim. Apple CEO Tim Cook said then that the European Commission's decision "is unprecedented and has serious, far-reaching consequences".
