The first details about the new smartphone Samsung Galaxy S9

Network sources revealed some details about the future flagship smartphones Samsung, the announcement of which will be held in the first half of next year.

It's about the devices that will replace the current models Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 +. Apparently, the market for new items will come under the names of Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 +.

It is reported that these devices are created under the projects with the code names Star and Star 2. The development is still at the initial stage, but web sources note that Samsung has enough time to conduct a presentation in early 2018.

According to rumors, the base of future flagships will be the Snapdragon 845 processor, work on which is already conducted by Qualcomm and Samsung specialists. According to preliminary information, the chip will receive eight processing cores (quartets ARM Cortex-A75 and ARM Cortex-A53), graphics accelerator Adreno 630 and cellular modem LTE X20.



New smartphones allegedly inherited from models of the Galaxy S8 series screen Infinity Display, bending on the side of the body. It is a question of a fingerprint scanner in the front and a dual camera on the back of the case.

Note that in the first quarter of this year, according to IDC, globally, 347.4 million smartphones were sold. This is 4.3% more than in the first quarter of 2016, when shipments were 332.9 million units. Samsung is the largest manufacturer with 79.2 million units sold and a share of 22.8%.
